What are the hot new eye makeup colors for 2009 ? This years 2009 trends have included metallic makeup looks and natural looks and the smoky eye look is still very popular. You can achieve each of these with the right mascara colors, eyelash tools, beauty advice and of course, practice applying your eye makeup.

Women looking for a more natural appearance, should use pale or skin tone colors that have no shimmer or shine to them. Apply a beige base shadow from your eye lid to your eye brow bone and blend outward with a larger bristle eye shadow brush. Next, apply a slightly darker eye makeup color at your eye lid crease and blend down. Finally, apply a light beige just underneath the arch of your brow.

Want dramatic looking eyes? Try the always hot looking  smoky look. Smoky eyes are a great look for a night out on the town or a sexy night at home with your man, but avoid it in the office, unless you want a quick raise, in more ways than one. To achieve the  smoky eye look, start with an eye shadow primer all over the lid. Use a smoky gray if you wear cool tones or a brown if you use warm tones and apply on the eye lid. Next, apply a darker shade with an angled brush at the base of the lid and blend. Finally, apply that same dark shade in the crease and use your blender brush to blend down. You want to keep the majority of the color just on the lids to get that dramatic look.

Hot 2009 eye makeup trends include peach and papaya colors, soft shades of strawberry, even  kiwi and lime-colors have become more popular. Wear up to three colors at a time,  to really make your eyes pop. Mix things up by wearing with different color eyeliners on your top and bottom lash lines. Finish your look with a dazzling mascara.

When choosing the correct tools, make sure you have an angled eye shadow brush, an eye liner brush and a blender brush, and don’t forget fake lashes are hotter than ever, inspired by Kim Kardashian the long lash look with brilliant fruity colors are deffenetly in.
